I began my animation career working in London on features and commercials. I was recruited by Dreamworks to relocate to Los Angeles where I worked as a Character Animator on feature films such as The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado, and Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron. Later I achieved my lifelong dream to become a Costume Designer at Dreamworks, Imagi Animation and Cartoon Network.
I also have experience as a costume designer and development artist on live-action features such as Iron Jawed Angels for HBO and the Charmed TV series.
More recently I have been working as a designer and animator on features such as the Wimpy Kid movie franchise and The BoxTrolls, plus many commercials and music videos.
I have always had a broad interest in fashion, both historical and contemporary, and particularly enjoy the research aspect of working in costume design including sourcing textiles and fabrics for use by the surfacing department. I am experienced in producing technical sketches and turnarounds for 3D modeling and working closely with them to achieve a successful final design. I love the collaborative aspect of working on a team with other artists and pride myself on coming up with unexpected and fresh ideas for the production that they might not otherwise have thought of.
